Who we are

Crafty Quantities is operated by Rodney Lee, who is responsible for your personal data under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

What we collect

• Your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you sign up.
• Projects you save: measurements, trade, region and progress ticks.
• Photos you upload for a site check, used to produce your results.
• Subscription status and payment history (card details are handled by Paddle; we never see or store your full card number).
• If you list a business: the business name, trades, areas and contact details you provide.
• Quote requests and messages you send to a tradesperson.
• Device details, IP address and service logs used for security and reliability.

Why we process information

Account, project, quote request and subscription data is used to fulfil our contract with you. Security and reliability logs are used for our legitimate interests in protecting and improving the service. We keep required transaction records to meet legal obligations. Where consent is needed, you can withdraw it at any time.

How we use it

• To run your account, calculations, saved projects and photo checks.
• To take payment and manage your subscription through Paddle.
• To show tradesperson listings to Pro members looking for quotes.
• To reply when you contact us.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use your photos or projects to train AI models.

Who processes it

We share information with hosting and support providers, an AI provider for photo checks, and Paddle as Merchant of Record for sales, subscriptions, tax and invoices. Your quote request and contact details go to the tradesperson you select. We may also share data with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it. International transfers outside the UK/EEA use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Account and project data is kept while your account exists and then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Payment records are retained for legal and tax obligations. You can delete saved projects and tradesperson listings yourself at any time.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Security and cookies

We use access controls and encryption to protect personal data. Essential browser storage keeps you signed in and remembers your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear stored data through your browser settings, though signing in may then be required again.
